The Oneness Wellness Approach
At Oneness Wellness, we believe that each person is unique and should be treated that way; that every person is a specialist when it comes to their own personal health and wellness; and that everyone deserves to be heard and respected by their health care consultants, wellness practitioners and spiritual guides. We believe that every person is capable of realizing their true spiritual nature, has the innate ability to change and grow, has the capacity to help heal their own bodies, minds and spirits, and should be empowered to transform themselves into the best, healthiest person they can be.
At Oneness Wellness, we work together with our clients in a partnership for health and well-being. Through self-realization guidance, herb and food recommendations, positive hypnotic suggestions, or energy healing, we work to help our clients obtain the knowledge, remedy imbalances, and make any changes necessary in order to achieve their desired goals and fully realize their spiritual, physical, and emotional and mental potentials. Oneness Wellness utilizes alternative and complementary healing practices and is not a substitute for conventional medicine, psychological therapy, or the advice of our clients' medical professionals, though we are more than happy to work together with those professionals to more completely address all of our clients' wellness needs.
John Lisnik Jr.
Clinical Herbalist, Hypnotist, Self-Realization Guide and Reiki Master-Teacher
John Lisnik, Jr. is a clinical herbalist, hypnotist, self-realization guide, Reiki master/teacher, plant-based nutrition enthusiast, forager and lifelong resident of New England. Growing up in a small Northern Maine town, he fell in love with nature, spending the majority of the summer traipsing around the fields and the better part of the winter downhill skiing. John takes a holistic approach to health and well-being, recognizing that body, mind and spirit are all interconnected and that tending to all of them is required for optimal health.
John earned a B.A. degree in Philosophy and English from the University of Maine and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law. During his time practicing law in Maine and New Hampshire, John began taking herbalism classes and using plants to address personal health issues. John's attention became increasingly focused on the wonders of nature, the healing power of plants, and helping others realize their health, wellness and life goals. After 15 years of practicing law, he retired in order to study and practice herbalism, food as medicine, hypnosis and Reiki.
John attended the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, earning certifications both as a Family Herbalist and a Clinical Herbalist. He is a certified hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and has completed extensive training in advanced hypnosis, regression hypnosis, and spiritual hypnosis at the Thomas Institute for Hypnosis in New Hampshire. John studied Western-style Reiki at Montpelier Reiki in Vermont where he attained the level of certified Reiki Master and Teacher. John also studied the three-levels of Japanese-style Reiki through Star Therapies and was subsequently certified Shihan (master-teacher) in that style as well. He has completed numerous life coaching training courses through Transformation Services, Inc., receiving certifications as a Professional Life Coach, a Master Coach, and a Spiritual Coach. Additionally, John has been certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from T. Colin Campbell's Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell.
In 2017, John was graced with a sudden, profound and abiding recognition/understanding of the true nature of the self. Though self-realization (also called awakening, enlightenment, transcendence, liberation, etc.) cannot be predicted or guaranteed, we believe it is available to anyone with the necessary intention, focus and determination.
